The Gambling Commission of Netherlands

In Dutch, the Netherlands is known as "Holland." The Gambling commission of Holland was established in 1994 to protect citizens from illegal gambling. It has a dual role. On one hand, it licenses and monitors online providers of gambling services that adhere to strict criteria for fairness and security. At the same time, it seeks to discourage citizens from participating in unregulated gaming by making them aware of its risks through public information campaigns and by coordinating educational efforts with social organizations such as schools and sports clubs.

It is also fair to say that the Dutch gambling license is considered to be local meaning that a casino can only operate on the local market, not worldwide.
